Update on NETWORK’s Legislative Agenda

NETWORK continues to be strongly engaged in lobbying Congress during these last few days of the 113th Congress. At the same time, we are gearing up for new challenges in 2015. Here is a brief overview:

Real-life Costs of Failure to Expand Medicaid in 24 States

The Council of Economic advisory has just released a sobering report entitled Missed Opportunities: The Consequences of State Decisions Not to Expand Medicaid. It show that states that refuse to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act hurt the health and financial wellbeing of a large number of their residents.

Opposition to Medicaid expansion is based on politics rather than the wellbeing of the people in those states. That is deeply reprehensible.
