Because NETWORK lobbies the federal government, donations to NETWORK are not tax deductible. You may make a tax-deductible contribution to NETWORK’s educational partner organization, NETWORK Education Program [11].
BECOME A NETWORK MEMBER
On top of knowing that you are doing your part to build a more just nation, your investment of $50 or more ($20 for retirees, students, and those with limited income) entitles you to a membership booklet that outlines actions you can take to influence Congress, a one-year subscription to our award-winning publication, Connection, and four issues of our online e-newsletter, the InterConnection.
MAKE A GIFT OF STOCK
Donations of appreciated securities may allow you to avoid tax liability while receiving a deduction for your charitable contribution. Shares of stock may be delivered to NETWORK Education Program (NEP) or the NEP Endowment Fund, via electronic transfer or through mail delivery. Stock transfers to NEP often arrive with no accompanying donor information. In order for us to identify your gift and issue an acknowledgment please provide Maggie Brevig with the following information [12]: Name, Address, Estimated gift value, Type of stock, Number of shares, Date of transfer, and Name of the brokerage firm. Transfer instructions will be emailed to you upon submission of this information.
EMPLOYER MATCHING GIFT PROGRAMS
Many companies encourage charitable giving among their employees through matching gift programs. NETWORK Education Program is thankful for the additional support received through matching gifts. Contact your company’s Human Resource office to learn more and determine if your employer matches contributions to NETWORK Education Program. A matching gift from a participating employer may double or even triple your contribution.
