- CUTS in unneeded military spending
On August 2, 2011, Congress created the Budget Control Act of 2011. Under this act, a bipartisan group of senators and representatives, commonly referred to as the “Super Committee,” was delegated the task of addressing our nation’s budget deficit. Succinctly stated, the Super Committee must devise a specific plan by November 23 to eliminate a $1.5 trillion deficit over the next ten years.
You can be certain that big businesses and powerful corporations have been exerting substantial energy into influencing the Super Committee. Rest assured that NETWORK has been busy setting up meetings with Congress as well.
But we need your help!
Hold the Super Committee accountable and increase the magnitude of our message by raising your voice.
Meet the Super Committee head-on by jumping into the role of Super Citizen!
