February 4, 2013: Governor John Kasich (R) supports accepting federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With Republican majorities in both the House and the Senate, there is still much work to do!

November 13, 2012: Governor Robert Bentley (R) has rejected federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, there is much work to do!

Status:

As of January 31, 2013: Governor Bill Haslam (R) has not yet made a decision on accepting federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With a Republican majority in the General Assembly, there is much work to do!

Medicaid: Kentucky

Status:

As of January 31, 2013: Governor Steve Beshear (D) has not yet made a decision on accepting federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. However, Republican legislators have filed a bill to place that decision in the hands of the legislature, where Republicans have a majority in the Senate and Democrats have a majority in the House.

Status:

January 15, 2013: Governor Mike Pence (R) has rejected federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With Republican majorities in the legislature, there is much work to do, but a group of Democratic Senators have introduced a bill to accept this federal funding.

February 6, 2013: Governor Rick Snyder (R) has decided to accept federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With Republican majorities in the legislature, there is still much work to do!

November 7, 2012: Governor Phil Bryant (R) has rejected federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, there is much work to do!

June 28, 2012: Following the Supreme Court decision, Governor Pat Quinn (D) expressed his intent to accept federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. It is expected that the state legislature will also support this decision. 

Medicaid: Wisconsin

Status:

February 13, 2013: Governor Scott Walker (R) has rejected accepting federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured. With Republican majorities in the legislature, there is much work to do!
