December 11, 2012: Governor Brian Sandoval (R) was the first Republican governor to come out in support of accepting federal funding to provide health coverage for the uninsured, a decision that some state Senate Republican leaders also support. With Democratic majorities in the legislature, it is expected that Nevada will accept this federal money.
