Learn Your State Rules, Find Polling Places/Early Voting Locations
Below you will find links to organizations that provide detailed and accessible information for voter registration, early in-person voting, vote-by-mail, and absentee ballots regulations in your state.

VOTE411.org is run by the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) and is strictly a nonpartisan political organization that provides a one-stop-shop for election related information, including absentee ballot information, election dates, ID requirements, registration deadlines, forms, and polling place locations.

iVoters helps prepare you to cast your ballot by showing you a sample ballot. See what candidates and issues will be in front of you so you can be a prepared voter.

ya es hora ¡Ve y Vota! is the nonpartisan voter engagement segment of the ya es hora civic participation campaign to incorporate Latinos as full participants in the American political process. It provides useful information for all voters, and especially useful information on out rights as voters, state-by-state information for student voters, and break down on Spanish language assistance at polling places by state.

The 2014 National Voting Hotlines will be live on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4 to help people vote. Voters can also report problems and get legal assistance voting. For English, call 1-866-OUR-VOTE (687-8683) and for Spanish, call 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA (839-8682).

Nonpartisan Candidate Position Resources 

NETWORK has created one-sheet resources comparing Senate candidates' stances on our issues for Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina full term candidates, South Carolina candidates for Jim DeMint's vacated seat, and West Virginia

VoteSmart.org is an amazing and interactive tool for tracking your current Representative and Senators in Washington and assisting in discerning positions for candidates currently running in federal elections. Political Galaxy is their interactive tool that allows you look up current incumbents in the House of Representatives and the Senate, pick a policy issue that interests you and then provides you with information on the way they have voted, their speeches, ratings from outsides groups and funding they have received from interest groups dealing with that area of policy.  Additionally, Vote Smart plans to have their Vote Easy feature fully live and updated in the beginning of October. Vote Smart does comprehensive research to determine candidates’ positions in your locale’s federal elections. Vote Easy is an interactive tool that asks you quick questions on hot topic issues and helps determine which cadidates are most aligned with your personal opinions. It’s fun and easy to use. 

National Priorities Project Voter's Guide comes out of a nonprofit, nonpartisan federal budget research organization that focuses on making the federal budget accessible to the public. They have compiled simple and straightfoward fact sheets on issue areas at stake in this year's election including education, military spending, national debt, healthcare, and more. In addition to the facts and research, each fact sheet includes a few questions to ask congressional candidates for each issue.

Nonpartisan, Faith-based Election Resources
Below are resources produced by various faith communities to aid individuals to discern the intersection of faith and politics in the coming election for them. 

Sisters of Mercy's 2014 Election Guide, created by the Institute Justice Team of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, assists in engaging with, listening to and reflecting on politicians’ positions in relation to the values and mission of the Sisters of Mercy. It is created as a workbook to allow individuals to take notes when listening to debates, town halls, or any engagements that political candidates speak at this fall. Our Faith, Our Vote (United Church of Christ) helps engage the progressive faith community in elections. They offer resources for engaging voters and get out the vote resources for faith communities and additional resources for weaving political engagement into worship services. The Our Faith, Our Vote also offers a civility pledge to guide our actions and speech in politics and the election season underpinned by an intentional listening, respect in our speech, and openness to sharing ideas and our understandings.
